Text Title -  Tomorrow when the war began

This text is about a young group of teenagers adventure out into the bush “hell” to camp there as they thought it would be a calming and exciting getaway but they were mistaken… While they sit and glare upon the stars their eyes are bombarded with the vision of loud military aircraft flying above they can't help but become curious of this strange encounter . While they thought of this strange happening they began to recognise that these strange aircraft's were flying in the direction of their town “Wirrawee”. 

A key message in the text and something that made be think about it was the friendships and relationships between the characters, As I read through the text I thought that managing a relationship through a crisis would be very difficult but as a friendship I think is much needed as you traverse through the book these characters face very challenging problems and must face them together. I believe the author is trying to tell us that when faced with a problem the friends around you are the ones best suited to help you. As these characters did... The bonds between them strengthen and become much more closer.

My favourite character in the text was Ellie because she is a natural leader with confidence and a positive attitude. She made decisions for the group that benefited them. She had everyone's best interests in mind. She is an awesome friend and an even better leader which everyone can look up to. She is a conclusive problem solver and had to make many difficult choices for the group.

This story made me think on my attitude towards the repercussions that happen when I make an irrational decision or choice and the consequences that I will receive when I make them. As I read through the text the problem solving and decision making in the text was an important factor for their survival, I found it very interesting. 

I would recommend this to an older/mature audience because...

this is a chapter book and it dives in depth on a scenario of what would happen if your town was invaded, it is a very detailed book with a lot of scenes and events that hook you in to read more I found this book interesting and is why I recommend it.

This is a video explaining my human rights collage and what I perceive human rights as. I believe human rights is entitled to every individual person no matter what circumstance, it is the right of living, speech, education, freedom, protection and the right of being treated equally there is a lot more but that is just the basic ones. 

Term reflection and goal setting 2022

Kia ora, we have been setting goals to prepare us for 2022. Below are my goals:

1. One piece of advice for myself this year is don't stay up late. Don't talk as much and get distracted.

2. One thing I was proud of from last year is that I achieved with merit. Bringing my chrome book charged and coming to class everyday.

3. My main focus this term is to not get distracted and to finish my work and achieve better standards.

4. When I need help I know to email or ask the teacher.

5. At the end of this term, I want to be able to say that I achieved my goal of achieving a merit or Excellence 

6. These are my action steps to help me get there is bringing my chrome book fully charged, my teacher could help me revise and give me constructed criticism for an assessment , and my parents could help me with work when i'm home sick or away from school. 

Using the tracing tool in google draw

 The past lesson in Cybersmart we have been given the option to do either draw a couple images we like in Google Drawing or a Pick a Path activity in Google Slides. I chose to draw an image I liked in Google Drawing. The images I did were  Air Jordan 1 Hyper Royals and a Black & White 270s.

 

 What is culture?

Culture is what makes people different it is peoples preferences and traditional activities that make people different it can be anything from music or to how you eat your food, it may come from your ancestors and how they passed down they're ways or how your parents raised you. As people migrate around the world they bring their culture with them they may bring  all sorts of their culture into the country like food such as Thai food, Indian, Japanese/Chinese food and much more, some aspects of New Zealand's culture may change how people do things when they come here like Covid-19 we are one of the lucky countries that are pretty much Covid free.
